Owners of Higher Healing CBD open Khepri Cafe in Albany Park Khepri Cafe becomes the first Chicago cafe to serve its own house brand CBD products
CHICAGO, Ill. -- Khepri Cafe, located in the heart of Chicago’s Albany Park neighborhood, opened its doors today, becoming the first cafe in Chicago to serve CBD-infused beverages and healthy bites featuring its own house brand of CBD products. The cafe is located at 4650 N. Kedzie Ave., Chicago, Illinois, 60625.
Khepri Cafe owner Tatum Drewes developed her two CBD product lines over the last four years. Khepri Renewal is available to medical practitioners, while Higher Healing is her consumer-facing brand featuring tinctures, salves, gummies, and bath bombs.
Drewes and her husband, Isaac Melton, are residents of Albany Park. They decided to open Khepri Cafe as a place for customers to stop in for a healthy bite, enjoy a cup of coffee, and learn about the health benefits of CBD -- Drewes is an expert, offering professional consultations to health care providers and teaching classes with consumers.
“We love our Albany Park community, and we’re thrilled to have the opportunity to provide a space to work, play, and learn,” says owner Tatum Drewes. “We’re also excited to be a retail outlet for other Chicago and Illinois small businesses, offering local coffees, packaged foods, and products.”
Khepri Cafe’s menu includes a range of coffee, espresso, and tea beverages from $2.15 - $4.95, with an optional CBD add-in to any drink for $1.50. Their popular CBD Cold Brew is available for $5.75. Over the coming weeks, the menu will expand to offer smoothies from $5.95, and offer optional superfood add-ins including maca root, cocoa nibs, CBD, and chocolate protein. Sandwiches and presses are available from $5.25, and the cafe features an avocado toast for $6.00 which rotates monthly.
Khepri Cafe’s hours are Monday, Wednesday, Thursday 6:00 am - 6:00 pm, Friday 6:00 am - 3:00 pm, Saturday 8:00 am - 2:00 pm, and Sunday 9:00 am - 2:00 pm. The cafe is closed on Tuesdays. The cafe space is available for rent outside of business hours. A schedule of classes and planned events hosted by Khepri Cafe and open to the public is available on the cafe’s website.
Khepri Cafe’s locally produced packaged goods include the full line of Higher Healing CBD products, Hexe Coffee, Bru Coffeeworks, Rare Bird preserves, and Super Hue CBD-infused sparkling water.
