Renowned Documentary Film Festival Returns to Chicago June 17 - 20
CHICAGO, Illinois -- Today, CMP announced the return of Chicago’s annual Doc10 Documentary Film Festival. The 2021 Doc10 Documentary Film Festival, which runs June 17 - 20, 2021, will feature socially distanced, COVID-responsible in-theater presentations, drive in programming, and virtual events.
WHAT: 2021 Doc10 Documentary Film Festival WHEN: Thursday, June 17 - Sunday, June 20, 2021 WHERE: In-theater screenings at the Davis Theater (4614 N. Lincoln Ave., Chicago); Drive-in screenings at Pilsen Drive In (2343 S. Throop St., Chicago)
Like so many organizations, CMP was unable to host this flagship event last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Instead, the organization spent 2020 developing virtual programming including the “Best Seat in the House” series, showcasing documentary films for audiences from the comfort of their own homes, and raising $20,000 for 14 partner organizations and initiatives.
The ten highly curated films are just the beginning of the conversation at Doc10. The festival is planning ancillary programming which in past years has included filmmaker panels, talkbacks with experts, industry panels, and more.
