Award-Winning Actress Appears at Chicago’s Longest-Running Comic Convention This August

Chicago, Illinois (July 18, 2023) – Chicago’s longest-running comic and pop culture convention, FAN EXPO Chicago today announced the addition of award-winning actress and human rights advocate Mira Sorvino, offering autographs and photo opportunities at this year’s show running August 10 - 13, 2023 at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont.

Mira Sorvino, an award-winning actress, filmmaker, and United Nations Goodwill Ambassador, is a lifelong champion of victims of abuse, and has been a leading voice in the #MeToo and Time’s Up movements. As an advocate against human trafficking, Sorvino was honored with the inaugural Promise Institute Award for Contribution to Human Rights Through the Arts, as part of their “Lights. Camera. Reaction.: The Art of Impact through Entertainment” program in 2018. Sorvino courageously went on the record with Ronan Farrow, sparking the Time’s Up movement.
