Chicago’s Longest-Running Comic Con Runs August 10 - 13, 2023
Chicago, Illinois (June 8, 2023) – Chicago’s longest-running comic and pop culture convention, FAN EXPO Chicago today announced that pioneering motion-capture actor Andy Serkis will be appearing at this year’s event, running August 10 - 13, 2023 at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont.
Andy Serkis is a celebrated actor and filmmaker known for his extraordinary talent in motion-capture performances and his diverse range of roles, becoming a pioneering figure in the world of performance capture technology, earning widespread acclaim and numerous accolades for his transformative portrayals. With his unparalleled ability to bring life to digital characters, he has breathed astonishing realism into iconic roles such as Gollum in “The Lord of the Rings” and “The Hobbit” trilogies, Caesar in the “Planet of the Apes” franchise, and Supreme Leader Snoke in the “Star Wars” Sequel Trilogy.
Beyond motion capture, Serkis has showcased his versatility in traditional acting, delivering captivating performances in films such as “The Batman,” “Black Panther,” and “The Adventures of Tintin,” as well as the Disney+ series “Star Wars: Andor.”
Previously announced highlights of FAN EXPO Chicago 2023 include a time-tripping “Back to the Future” cast reunion featuring Michael J. FAN EXPO Chicago runs August 10 - 13, 2023 at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont.
